However, given the levels of pollution and lifestyles which we lead, it is quite possible that our face might become lifeless quite often.

Steaming is considered to be an effective way to removed sediments which could block the pores of your face. In fact some of the large pores on face can be easily opened with steaming activities. It is simple to do and should not take more than 20 to 30 minutes. It can be done just two days a week. You need to boil the water in a big pot. 4. Fuller’s Earth
There are some studies to prove that using fuller’s earth can also help a lot in getting rid of clogs in pores. This is because it does the work of a sponge. It draws out all the substances and grime and dirt which clog the pores. It is also good for oily skin because it reduces the level of oil secretion. It certainly can make you skin look very healthy and radiant.
Though not many people are aware of it, lemon can also help a lot in keeping clogged pores clean. This is because of the exfoliating properties which it comes with. It is therefore known to be one of the best ways by which you can shrink pores on face and also prevent them being clogged with unwanted substances. The reason why lemon is considered so very special is because it has citric acid which is very good in removing dirt from the pores of the face. You could mix it with salt and yoghurt to make a wonderful exfoliating mix.
6. Baking Soda

The ice cubes should be wrapped on a piece of cloth and should be kept over the face and rubbed slightly for around 10 to 15 minutes. once the improvement is seen you can reduce the frequency to twice or thrice a week.
8. Apple Cider Vinegar
If you are looking for a natural skin toner or astringent then you could try out apple cider vinegar. It helps to make the skin tight and gets rid of blockades which make the pores of the skin big. You should use it with water and should apply with a cotton ball. It should stay for a few minutes and then should be washed off with water.
9. Cucumber Juice And Rose Water
Those who have used cucumber know that it is an exfoliating agent and also help to keep the skin tight. Hence when it is used as a paste combined with rose water it can have wonderful impact. Cucumber is also rich in Silica.
For generations, Indian women have used sandalwood for repairing damages to pores and also for shrinking the size of the pores. It should be used in combination with turmeric powder and it can help in preventing pores from remaining open at all points of time.
While all the above are great natural methods for treating open pores you must keep a few things in mind:
- You must do it only if you are not allergic to the products mentioned above. If you see that it leads to some infection, itching or irritation you must stop it.
- You must also learn to clean your face at least twice a day.
- If you have oily skin you must apply a suitable astringent once cleaning has been done.
- You should never go to be bed with makeup in your face. It will not your face skin to breathe.
- Avoid greasy and oily food because it increases secretion from sebaceous glands which could clog and pores and increase its size.
Hence at the end of the day if you look around you will not find it difficult to come out easy solutions for getting rid of clogged pores or pores which do not close or do not shrink to their normal size.
