Normally, AliExpress refunds your money instantly but in some cases, it takes longer than expected time. Sometimes, Refund time also depends on the refund condition(full or partial). So Today, I will try to answer all the question related to refund.
AliExpress offers two types of refund, full refund or partial refund. You get the full refund whenever you cancel an order or whenever you won a dispute and you get the partial refund whenever you agree to get a partial refund in your dispute. I’ve already written a detailed guide about the dispute process, you can read it here.
When Will I Get My Refund?
AliExpress refunds your money instantly for canceled orders but for dispute orders, they don’t offer you a refund until the dispute comes to an agreement.
Once AliExpress processed the refund, it takes between 3 – 20 working days to reach your bank account, depending on the payment method you used. But in my experience, refund takes less than 7 working days to reach your bank account.
However, Refund time also depends on your bank. In my case, I have the account on two banks ICICI and IDBI and ICICI Bank takes less time compared to the IDBI Bank.
For example, I won the dispute on 26th October then AliExpress processed my refund on the same day then I received that refund on 2nd November to my bank account.

I haven’t Received The Refund Even After a Month, What Should I Do?
This never happened to me but if you haven’t received the refund then you can find ARN number of that refund in the financial section of your order detail then you can contact your bank using that ARN number to open a dispute/chargeback for that transaction.
As you can see in the below screenshot I paid my order using the credit card and AliExpress refunded my money to the same credit card and also mentioned an ARN number for that transaction.
In addition, You can also contact AliExpress Customer Support, You need to provide a bank statement from 2 days before the purchase date until 10 business days after the (completed) refund date.
How Can I Get The Refund If My Credit Card is No Longer Valid or has Expired?
AliExpress always refunds your money on the same card that you used to pay for your order, which means you won’t receive the refund into your bank account however the bank receives the money on your behalf.
So, If your original card is not valid or if it has expired, then you can contact your card issuer using the ARN number of that transaction to get the refund.
Will I Get The Lower Refund Than The Paid Amount?
Yes, It’s possible! You may get a lower refund than the paid amount.
Actually, AliExpress refunds the same amount in case of full refund but currency conversion fees, credit card transaction fees and floating exchange rate can cause lower refund.
